Choose Wisely

“We are drowning in information, while starving for wisdom. The world henceforth will be run by synthesizers, people able to put together the right information at the right time, think critically about it, and make important choices wisely. ”
E. O. Wilson

I am taking economics for my senior year, and one general thing the class teaches is making good decisions and the entrepreneurial thing to do in taking risks and accepting changes. Decisions have a huge impact in your life, your goals and your future, so it is essential to make good ones.

You have a choice each and every single day. So choose to appreciate what you have. Choose to make time for yourself and to be content with yourself. Choose to do something that makes you smile. Choose to be excited. Choose to laugh at your own silliness. Choose to spend time and interact with positive people. Choose to be persistent with your goals and to never give up. Choose to try again and again and again, don’t let failures lure you away from your dreams.

Within your choices lie all the tools and resources you need to design the essence of life and the essence of your dreams, it’s just a matter of choosing wisely.

There is a reason behind everything

Life is full of surprises. Moments of impacts and we often tend to forget that God has a plan for us all. “You wouldn’t make a lock with a key, similarly God won’t give us problems without solutions!” Hence whatever’s happens, happens for a reason, whether it is to teach us a lesson, move on, or simply grow up. Everything serves a purpose.

Evoking Sweet Innocence.

Evoking Sweet Innocence

By Zahra Siddique

Failure leads to success,

Soon I will progress.

I am eager to know,

What my future has to show.

Every step I take,

A whole new world I awake.

New doors open,

Through dreams I’ve lived awoken.

Sometimes, when I look back

Retracing my steps through the track,

I can’t help to notice I’ve come a long way

And I am pacing forward everyday.

There are still times where I’d often get lost in the old days,

Lost in my old childish ways;

Still struck by my sweet innocence.

Get off the scale

I don’t even remember the last time I checked my weight; like a couple of numbers would make a difference to me. For those of you that do worry about small things like that need to read this and change your perception, and stop stressing about it. You are beautiful just the way you are.

“Get Off The Scale!

You are beautiful. Your beauty, just like your capacity for life, happiness, and success, is immeasurable. Day after day, countless people across the globe get on a scale in search of validation of beauty and social acceptance.

Get off the scale! I have yet to see a scale that can tell you how enchanting your eyes are. I have yet to see a scale that can show you how wonderful your hair looks when the sun shines its glorious rays on it. I have yet to see a scale that can thank you for your compassion, sense of humor, and contagious smile. Get off the scale because I have yet to see one that can admire you for your perseverance when challenged in life.

It’s true, the scale can only give you a numerical reflection of your relationship with gravity. That’s it. It cannot measure beauty, talent, purpose, life force, possibility, strength, or love. Don’t give the scale more power than it has earned. Take note of the number, then get off the scale and live your life. You are beautiful!”

An unintentional hiatus from blogging

Fellow bloggers, please excuse my unintentional hiatus from blogging, it has become least of my priorities after school and work. But I am sure all of you have missed me 😛

It is so easy getting in the habit of  putting off something you aren’t required to do and it is even easier to just give up. But what’s the point in taking the easy way out? that is not fun at all, I like to challenge myself. This blog, even if it may not seem has been quite a challenge itself and keeping it alive has become a pretty hard task that I am hoping to maintain.

Lately life has been been pretty hectic, but I like having something to do throughout the day and being constantly engaged then ending my day crashing into bed to restart the daily routine once again. There simply has just been so little time, and so much to do.

But before I post anything, I would like to catch up  and acknowledge a few bloggers for the awards they have bestowed upon me within the past few weeks.
